Slicing differences between Prusa and Cura
Hello,
I want to slice a cylinder with 40% rectlinear infill, layer height 0.4 mm, nozzle diameter 0.51 mm, extrusion width 0.51 mm. I have tried it on two different slicers, the first one was Prusa slicer, the second Cura (the files are attached). I have expected to get more or less the same structure with both printer, but in Prusa I get 15 lines infill per layer and in Cura I get 13. What is the reason for that? Did I miss a setting I have to change?
If I calculate the infill lines by myself, my result is that I should have 13 infill lines, so it seems to be Prusa working odd. Can someone explain it to me please?

Looks like PS also looks at layer height. If you set layer height to 0.2, you get the 13 you'd expect.

in cura you can set the infill line distance (spacing from center to center of infill lines) to get the number of infill lines across the layer

Yes, it looks like. I also tried it by myself. But how can I avoid this, since I don't want to change the layer height but get 13 lines?

I know, that I can do it in Cura, but I don't know the exact line distance in Prusa, do I?
It seems to be really interesting, that the two slicers use different equations to calculate the infill percentage. I can follow the calculation of Cura, but how calculates Prusa? Can anyone explain it to me please?

But why should Prusa do that, since I set the extrusion width to 0.51? And how can I avoid that Prusa is doing so?

what do you set the cura extrusion width to? is it a programmable option, or is it a factor of another value? (I don't use Cura)
Cura isn't Prusa slicer and vice versa
Cura Slices STL Files, in Cura's style,
Prusa Slicer slices STL's in Prusa style.
There will always be differences.
Prusa slicer also offers Arachne Perimeter generator and Classic Perimeter generator, both have benefits, in some scenarios. both are likely to change the space available in Prusa slicer, for infill.
trying to make prusa slicer be cura, is likely to be frustrating. Both slicers, slice files... the idea of a slicer is to automate the slicing, rather than expecting the user to calculate all of the moves manually. both slicers do that in their own way.
I suspect if you look at Simplify3D and KISS Slicer output, it will be different to both Cura and Prusa slicer.

In Cura the extrusion width can be set. I set it to 0.51, the same value as in Prusa.
I understand that the slicers are different and that they slice parts different, but if I have the same basic parameters, like layer height, extrusion width, infill density and infill type, I would expect that I get the same object in the end. But that is obviously not the case.
I also tried to change Arachne to Classic, but it does not seem to affect anything in my case, since I don't print perimeters in my object.
