Slicer bridging improvement feature request

The hardest thing I find to get right is the first strand of bridging, all the others are fine.
When the head moves for the first strand, it relies on the filament from the last move already being stuck to the start point, but this never seems to be right and the first few mm of the bridge are in effect a stringer, with the full extrusion starting away from the start point.
For this to work, you need to be running the filament at a high enough temperature for stringing, which, causes stringing!, trying to get a balance between excessive stringing and successful bridging start is never easy and usually ends up with stringing loosing, also overhangs are affected due to the increased filament temperature.

To overcome this, i would suggest there is a small dwell before movement starts but during which time extrusion commences, this dwell would be tune-able from 0 (Keeps things as they are now), to say 0.5 seconds which is probably way too much, maybe 0.2 seconds.
This would allow the filament to extrude and stick to the start point before the initial move of the head and help the first bridge line fully bridge, every subsequent back and forth bridging move does not suffer with this issue, always the first and this could be really helpful.

Any comments or suggestions or improvements to this idea?.

Normal people believe that if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Engineers believe that if it ain’t broke, it doesn’t have enough features yet.

Some cases the filament was retracted a bit too far so the next point it extrudes has no plastic ... hence a void where it really must have plastic.
