Silicon sock question
Hello all,
Printing with a silicon sock (Mk3S) using PETG with stock PRUSA settings, I find it helps with both stringiness as well as the small burnt blobs that appear here and there, but typically after maybe 20-30 hours of printing there is built up cooled PETG on the sock surface. If I try to remove it (either with the nozzle cooled or when it's heated to PETG temp) it rips the sock where it's stuck - is there a better way to remove/clean the sock? Also, is there a basic setting change I need to make to minimize the PETG sticking to the silicon?
Reading the forum it seems the socks should last 200+ hours but I am not getting that, so I figured there's something I am not doing.
Thanks
RE: Silicon sock question
I replace my sockts every 6-12 months, I don’t know of a good way to keep them clean.
