Should I pack my bearings once I get my Mk3S+ Kit?
So the mini kit is finally shipping out and as such, the assembly instructions were finally posted.
Of curious note was this step: https://help.prusa3d.com/en/guide/1-introduction_203948#204537
Which is different in the MK3S+ kit assembly Manual: https://help.prusa3d.com/en/guide/1-introduction_176529#176539
I was planning to pack my bearings with SuperLube anyways but I find this very curious since the bearings are the same between the two printers. Hope Prusa either updates or clarifies this as tbh, nothing is lost if you lube the bearing now, but if you wait till later you may damage something.
As an aside I found it interesting when ThisOldTony packed his bearings with Lube when he built his Mk3S:
RE: Should I pack my bearings once I get my Mk3S+ Kit?
From the technical point of view you are not wrong using some extra lube - that is always better than no lube. If you wish to get the different manuals in line (all of them should say to put some lube into the bearings before assembly - my opinion) it makes more sense to get in touch with support. Prusa is not permanently reading through the forums, so these informations may get lost

Prusa has made corrections in the Mini instructions in this regard. In most cases, the bearings are only provided with corrosion protection at the factory and must be greased. Otherwise you risk premature bearing abrasion. Use grease moderately, not too much!
