Review: PolyMaker PolyBox
PolyMaker PolyBox Filament Box

I purchased this product and now I actually have three of them.

There are many types of filaments that need to be protected from humidity. Many 3D printing filament producers actually put the filament is a zip-locked baggie or Mylar to keep the moisture out. There is a reason for that. It is because many of the filaments are hygroscopic and will absorb moisture from the environment. This moisture will hinder the filament from being extruded to form quality prints. While new specialty materials are hitting the market quickly, many 3D printing users fail to protect their filament from the surrounding environment. The Polymaker PolyBox is one means to perform this task.

PolyBox is a dry storage box designed to provide the optimum environment for 3D printing filaments. The PolyBox is compatible with all 3D printers and can house two 1kg spools or one 3kg spool. It works with most spools but some thicker or large diameter spools may not work. It will not dry filament but it will keep it dry.

Facts:
Desiccant Type: Silica gel
Desiccant specifications: 2*Desiccant sachets 100g
Supported filament spools: 2 spools ≤ 52cm (width) or 1 spool ≤120cm (width)
Humidity range: 10-99% (±5%)
Resolution: 1% Response: 10 seconds
Temperature range: -50-70 °C (±1°C)
Battery specifications: LR44 for the humidity gauge

Quality: 89/100 - It is a good quality product. It feels a little cheap but it works and I have had all three for over 1 year.
Ease of use: 100/100 - Perfect.
Versatility: 92/100 - The dent in the armor is the spool size limitations. It has 6 holes for exiting filament to allow for exiting from the top or front.
Price: 90/100 - I paid $69. It is affordable especially when you include the price of filament saved.

The bottom line: Worth the price. I would buy it again. In fact, I bought 3 of them.
