Reset software to factory settings?
Hi all,
I'm really new to PS2.0, I switched from Cura as I found the final results were amazing!
I tried to search; however, my internet speeds are horrific at best, sadly living in the country all I get is 4-5mbps. Basically just slightly faster than old dialup speeds, uggh....
my issue is I’ve messed up with the settings somehow and finding it almost impossible to get the first layer to stick, doesn’t matter what I do either. I’ve got auto-bed levelling with bl touch, z offset is perfect too. It used to print perfectly until I messed with the settings somehow. I got so frustrated that I tried Cura again and it printed very well and the first layer was almost perfect, but still not what I had it with slicer.
ok, after my long winded explanation, how do I reset the settings to factory for slicer 2.0?

If you're using a genuine Prusa printer, you can't modify the base Prusa profiles, so just select those. Worst case, you can open the Configuration menu and run the Configuration Assistsant to get a free reload of Prusa profiles and (optionally) wipe out your user custom profiles.
However... since you mention BL Touch, I'm wondering if you're running a non-Prusa printer. In that case, you'll need to reload whatever configurations you used to get started.
You may just be having 1st layer adhesion issues. You'll have to share a bit more about your printer and bed configuration for anybody to help. Keep in mind, this is the official Prusa support forum, so you might get more help on one of the reddit generic or printer-specific groups.

Yeah, it’s not a genuine Prusa Printer, it’s a DIY CORE A8 XY. 310x310x310 with Marlin 2.0 on an skr v1.3 board.
just looking to reset the slicer settings back to factory is all.

This forum is for genuine prusa printer users. It's unlikely you'll get help here because you are running a different printer, unless someone here knows your printer well enough to help. One of the reasons why Prusa printers are highly rated...

at the printer select menu
select Add a printer, this should take you to a screen like this>
Which lets you deselect existing profiles
then you should be able to configure a custom printer
filling the options should replicate basic settings for a printer with your config...
