RE: Reporting Spam in Prints?
We are aware of it and are working on it. It has been addressed and things have been done.
As a former owner/manager of a global network, it was hard enough keeping users in line, let alone <>heads out to disrupt or do damage. There is only so much a company can do without making access to their websites impossible. It is a balancing act.
This quickly degenerates into the sort of arms race where spammers analyse and automate the attack in response to the countermeasures.
Unfortunately, it is already an escalating arms race.
Our Telco company introduced a feature where the first time someone calls a subscriber they have to key in a randomly chosen number that the system generates to get through. Since then only one scam call has gotten through, instead of the usual 3-4 a day. Professional Spammer/Scammers will find a way.
I appreciate anything any company does to try and reduce/eliminate the access to these <>heads.
PS. I took notes as far as what you guys wrote about the reporting feature.
Be sure your voice and suggestions are being taken into account.
Thanks

Got me again, my post was just wiped out. 🤨
Anyway I'll just ask bluntly and quickly. what is the policy of Patreon and Affiliate links in the print section.
As long as you are not going crazy and spamming the links or pushing people towards them, they are fine.

Spammers are back every day. The fight is not finished. Good luck!
RE: Reporting Spam in Prints?
Maybe make any users prints require moderation before they appear for their first 5 uploads unless they have a good reputation score on the forums
RE: Reporting Spam in Prints?
i think a simple 10-20 minute timeout between lets say every 3 consecutive print uploads could help to slow down the spam upload rate. this could atleast discourage more "casual" spammers and users from trying to gain the system so easily, this could also eliminate the clogging of the feed by just one single user. of course this isn't perfect and more dedicated spammers will find workarounds like with everything but im just spitballing some ideas
