Recommendations for a filament dryer that can hold Prusa spools

Hi

I'm trying to find a decent quality filament dryer that

  1. Can hold Prusament spools. Some dryers seem to be too small.
  2. Has holes in it for feeding filament. It's going to be mounted on top of the Prusa as I have no space either side.
  3. Is available in the UK.
  4. Might be OK with dual or single spools.

After spending most of the morning looking and getting more and more annoyed with fluffy and useless reviews and comments, I thought I'd use a proper source of knowlegde, here.

I'm not interested in adapting a food dryer or a DIY solution.

Any recommendations welcomed.

Have you looked at  PrintDry?  Holds my Prusa rolls just fine. They are about 2 or 3 years old, but unless the dimensions changed drastically, they should still fit.

I use the SUNLU 3D Printer Filament Dryer with my prusa spools.  No issue at all.  I assume you can purchase it in the UK.  Here is the US link

Thanks, sadly PrintDry don't seem to be readily available in the UK. Amazon has none, Farnell says they are either no longer manufactured or I can register my interest and see if they become available sometime between now and the end of the universe. eBay has a dual one for sale and I'll check on that.

They look the business to be homnest

RE: Recommendations for a filament dryer that can hold Prusa spools

I print often using an Esun drier (very similar to the Sunlu model ). It doesn’t makes a good job drying already moist filament but, at least, it keeps the spool warm and avoids more water absorption.

Most of the times, the Prusament spools fit inside the Esun without any problem but now and then I stumbled upon some units whose cardboard centers were taller and the spool, being too wide, wouldn’t sit correctly on top of the drier rollers, making a lot of trouble, Curiously enough, that issue happened to me only with Prusament ASA spools (two blacks and one red). None of the other ( PLA, PC, PETg or PVB ) Prusament spools exhibited this problem.

I agree with other people here, for drying filament my recommendation goes  to the Printdry. It’s a modular system where you can start with the basic unit, that hold two spools, and later add extra modules for fitting more spools. It’s bulkier, heavier and much more expensive than the small Esun/Sunlu models but it works really well. As usual, you get what you paid for.

AFAIK the Printdry hasn’t been discontinued and it’s currently available in Europe, at least in the continent. The last model is the PrintdryPro3.

I’ve searched high and low in the UK and no one appears to have any PrintDry stock in at all. There’s somebody selling a PrintDry on eBay but it’s expensive for a second hand unit.
Unless I can find a stockist that actually has stock, the Sunlu dryer will be the one.
thanks

The second one.  I actually have both, but the second one is much better.
