QUIZ printer failure pictures
hello people!
quite new to 3D-printing, and so far i love it! i am working on getting smooth prints, and i have mostly printed the pre-installed stuff on the SD-card, and a low poly dog.
i have overcome different problems, but i guess there are plenty more to come. i wonder if some of you could comment on my pictures,
The bottle opener and batman, there are gap between infill and outer wall, i have found some info on it, like limiting the speed, increase hot-end temp, printing infill before the perimeter, and check the infill overlap (but havent found an easy way to fix it).
the other failure (dog pictures), i dont know the name of, and dont have any good ideas what could be the reason behind. To me it looks like it is some axis or movements who are involved, since at least one of the sides og the dog is pretty ok. Vibrations?
i have tried prusa control, which is exellent, but it seems like there is not many settings you can change (and this is how it is ment to be). slic3r looks nice too, with a lot of settings to change, but at the same time more confusing. Speed for example, it is not just one speed, but many different speeds, and for a newbe.. you know.
well enough said, i would love to get some tips!

wish I could see the bottom of the prints. my guess is lower your live Z abit. and the dog..might be loose belt
it looks like all the dogs issues are the same direction.

Live Z definitely to high, as has been stated by others, the PRUSA printer first layer test is a quick and not so good way of getting the live =z accurately set up, but more of a "In the ball park" setting.

ya too high. try going 100 lower (remember they are negative numbers)

Not necessarily.
Just don't load filament. Place a folded sheet of copy paper (2 thicknesses) under the nozzle and lower the nozzle until the paper is just pinched. That will generally be good enough, but the most I have to lower after this is 15 microns.
It's still quick, but very accurate.
