PrusaSlicer with a delta

Hi. I'm absolutely new here, and that's because I can't actually take Cura anymore and I want a new slicer.

However, PrusaSlicer really gives me a few problems. The main problem is that I somehow can't manage to print round components really round. A cylinder with a diameter of 10mm has an almost perfect 10mm in one direction and almost 0.15mm missing in the other direction. I built a test part with a 10x10x10 cube and a 10x5mm cylinder on top - and it's always almost 0.15mm missing in the Y-direction - or it's 0.15mm over.

If I only print the cylinder, it measures 10.04 x 5.06mm (pretty spot on) in one direction and 9.86mm x 5.06mm (0.2mm off) in the other. If I print the whole thing (cube with ring on top) the cube is 10.01x10.3mm and the ring is 9.90x5.04mm. Where from comes this deviation?  It should be the exact same size. In the other direction (rotated 90 degrees) the cube is 10.26mm and the ring is 10.02mm. The whole thing should have exactly the same dimensions in any direction.

Am I doing something fundamentally wrong? Did I miss something? You can probably do XY compensation - but that doesn't help if only one side is wrong. The fact that only the X (or Y) side is off doesn't really make any sense with a delta, which has no x- or y- direction at heart.

Cura doesn't cause any problems (but always stubbornly drives the hotend right through the first layer) - when I print the same thing with Cura, it's 10.05x 10.03mm (funnily  even smaller in the other direction - but spot on with both).

I don't try to chase 0.01mm acuracy - but almost 2 percent on a single axis feels too much.

RE: PrusaSlicer with a delta

I used older PS with my Flsun QQs before i sold it.

I would check belt tension, slop in the effector and then measure the length of each of the rods for the arms so they are equally long.

For a delta, equalness on the arms are the most important thing. Some firmwares allow for rod-compensation in config-files.
