Prusa shifting manufacturing away from 3d printers

And it's a good thing. This looks legit. Good for them if so.

First a PLA shortage, now the lead-up to an IPA shortage... this pandemic is hitting us hard... XD

Not sure they stopped completely. There are still reports of orders being shipped, and the shipping table hasn't been updated either.

Didn't expect them to shift completely. Would love to know exactly how they're using 3D printers for the process. Nice to see 3D printing in the news for something positive.

Go easy on the do it yourself hand sanitizers. A convenience store manager is in jail at the moment for packaging up commercial sanitizer in convenient spray bottles for her customers. Bunch of kids got burned. I suspect what she used was chlorine based, intended for surfaces.

Prusa branded sanitizer - now that I would trust.

I believe she used commercial disinfectants. Bad enough if you burn yourself, but to sell the stuff without testing... sheesh.

Exactly. I think they have enough experience not to mention isopropyl alcohol to "do it right". This would be a great outreach project, especially in areas where consumers can't get the stuff or are being gouged to buy it.
