Protecting / Sealing / Strengthening a Fragile Artwork Print

I have printed a piece of artwork, which include some very thin (2 layer walls), and tall elements.

Printed from PLA.

I was wondering if there was any technique to give it longevity, strength or something.  Like spraying, or using some sort of glue?

I don't really want to turn it into an exopy submerged piece, but if I have to, has anyone tried that?

I have used clear spray laq intented for drawings made with charcoal/crayon/waterbased paint.

Dont know if it will react with the pla tho.

For the inside of my planters i used regular spraypaint laq (same stuff used on cars/bikes etc) but even the can say "clear" it leves a slight white surface on.

Testing on a separate print with the same material is advisable.

Thanks, do you have an example of what you've bought, so I know what to search for?

Over here, lots of product names are different, so I normally need to read a label.

Thanks!

@david-m86

This is what we used for the painting/drawings: https://www.cchobby.se/catalog/product/view/id/125945/category/19023/

Montana Spray Varnish

I think a artist/painters/hobby store would be a good bet.

For my planters inside, i use https://www.biltema.se/bilvard/billackfarger/battringsfarger/klarlack-for-biltema-battringsfarg-2000023759

It's abit more "rougher" as it's intended for cars etc, but seals up good on the inside of planters.
