Problems loading filament

Hello,

I've been several months printing very little with the same filament. Today I wanted to change the color, so I unloaded the filament, but when inserting the new one (same material), following error occured and the filament didn't load with the auto-load option:

https://storage.googleapis.com/prusa3d-content-prod-14e8-wordpress-forum-prod/2024/09/f7879aa8-pla_filament_load_error.mp4

I tried to dissable the autoload mode and do it manually, but the same problem appeared.

Do you know what the problem could be? May I have to dismount all the header and adjust something?

Thank you very much.

I have just tried again and now it doesn't make that horrible noise, but it continuous not loading the filament. I guess that I will have to disassembly the feeding mecanishm...

What printer are we talking about here?

First try a different filament. If that still does not work there is a reasonable chance it is a blocked nozzle or feed tube, on the mk4 they are easy to remove and check. They are both easy checks to do before dismantling anything.

Thank you. Yes, that was the problem, the feed tube to the hotend blocked. At first I just cleaned the entrance to the feeding tube, I thought that the new filament would be able to push the filament in the feeding tube towards the hotend, but it couldn't, so I had to open all again, and I could get the feeding tube out from the hotend (I didn't know it was so easy to extract it, hehe):

Now printing 🙂
