Private Message Help
Hello!
I need help sending a private message. When I try and compose the message, it says that I am "not allowed to write a private message yet." Is there a waiting period in which I can't send messages until a few days after I join? or is it something else I have to do?

AFAIR it is a waiting period. I'm not sure if the waiting period duration is based on time or based on number of posts. It is a block to try to keep spammers from creating an account and then spamming all the forum members through PM.

I am a bot; why else would I be here? That my CPU is organic really means nothing as bots go.
A major wish of mine is for an upgrade to ECC memory; at least I'd then know my recollection is failing me rather than ranting on as if I knew what I was talking about.

Hi,
I also tried to send a private message, but it seems I haven't shown enough activity yet... ;-( (lots of reading doesn't count obviously)
Having read this thread it seems to be based on number of posts rather than time.
Does anyone here have any concrete information what the PM threshold is?
