You're posting in the wrong place.

Prusa don't create (many) profiles for non-Prusa printers ...

Either the manufacturers of those printers; who know the requirements in detail, make profiles and submit them to Prusa, or experienced users make profiles for their machines and supply them.

So, if you're confident with your printer make your own profile and perhaps offer it for others to use.

Or contact the manufacturer or the user forum for that model and prompt/help them to do so.

Cheerio,

[...] How would you advise the pride to spend as little time and effort as possible?

When creating a printer profile for my Sidewinder, I had good success doing the following:

  • If available, examine the printer profile provided for another slicer. In my case, I spent some time looking at the Cura presets for hints. This will give you a starting point for speeds and basic settings.
  • Examine a working gcode file generated in the provided slicer. The start sequence may show what you need for leveling and nozzle prep.
  • In particular, look for start and end gcode, and any M50x codes. These are the firmware hardware settings that do not show up in your slicer settings. If you don't have gcode available, you may be able to query the printer directly with M503. Extract these and enter them into PrusaSlicer.
  • Spend some time poking at your printer's firmware source if available. There may be capabilities that they simply didn't bother enabling.
  • Assume all of this information is way off, but a reasonable starting point. Many printer manufacturers don't bother to set realistic M50x values for example. Crank them back to sane values (e.g., your maximum X speed is probably not 9000mm/s, try 100mm/s) and test.

It took a couple of days of tinkering to get good results in my case, but it wasn't overly complex.
