Printer, Enclosure and ventilation

Hi,

I just ordered my Prusa i3 MK3S and my first test is goind to be to biuld this enclosure: https://blog.prusaprinters.org/cheap-simple-3d-printer-enclosure/

I also though about having some kind of ventilation to get the fumes/particles out fo our house (we have kids and I dont't want them to be exposed - even though the printer is in a seperate room. Therefor I thought it might be a good idea to just have a fan in the rear-wall of the enclusure and a ~10cm diameter hose out of the window. Im sure that would get rid of 90% of the bad air.

Now the question as I don't have any experience with 3D printing: Is the suction/airflow going to influence the print in a bad way.

Hello.

If you print only with the big and the good PLA : for me (for-mi formidable) no problem, just a delicious smell harmless.

So ...    If you print PETG just a small ventilation in the room.

With ABS  hum  warning   take a filter (active coal ?) and search a good place of ventilation for a light breath in the box.

Enclosure with fan pushing air outside would work, unless you create some draft of cool air it will not affect printing. Make one intake hole with fan to control it. Just when you print PLA it is recommended to do it outside of full enclosure or with doors open, else you risk overheating (heat creep, jams from softened filament).
