Just FYI, this may affect availability of non-Prusa products from this vendor going forward.

But if this means lower shipping costs and no hassle with US customs for Prusa products, this will be an overwhelming net positive.

I ordered some small parts from PS and I found it to be more hassle than ordering from Prusa in Europe.  The only options for shipping to Alaska on the PS website are UPS air and similar, which are prohibitively expensive.  After about a week of emailing back and forth (which they, not I, initiated with one of those automated "we see you left items in your cart" emails), I was able to get PS to ship some of the items I wanted in a USPS flat rate box, but I had to order some of the items elsewhere because they "only had the small flate rate boxes" (which USPS supplies for free).

In contrast, I have found ordering directly from Prusa to be fast and relatively economical at least for the stuff they stock.  What concerns me the most personally is that in order to buy OEM Prusa parts in the future, I will be forced to deal with PS in the US rather than being able to order directly from the factory.  That's a different concern from what most of PS existing customers will be concerned about (dropping of non Prusa products) I realize.

RE: Printed Solid Purchase

Yeah, I had a knucklehead experience with Printed Solid too.  Ordered some blank plates for a MK3, but arrived wrong size.  PS support responded, yeah, they came from China that way.  Fork that.

But, they are just a few hours away by car for me.  Once they get stocked, could be a fun road trip.  Hopefully, Prusa will pummel some sense into their operations.  Better shipping rates, no customs worries, all upside to me.

Don’t trust forum advice.

FYI, Nero 3D just dropped a video from Rapid TCT and starts with an interview with David from Printed Solid regarding the purchase. Lots of questions answered and all my (minor) worries are resolved.
