Printables: why rating stars are not showing when publishing a make?
Hello!
So, after I download a design and print it, I go ahead and post a make of it, but the stars to rate it don't always show (sometimes they do, but most of the time they don't). Is this a bug or is it on purpose? And if it is on purpose, why?
Thanks!

Is this all the time of just certain designs?

For example, from the last 4 makes I published, only one had the stars rating available.

About the same ratio for me…

Good to know I'm not the only one with this issue 🤔
It would be cool to get some info about it from the Printables team.

In the German community somebody suggested that you need to be logged on when starting the download and a certain amount of time has to pass between download and make for the rating stars to appear... Would be nice to know for certain.

It makes sense that you have to be logged in for the system to register that you downloaded that model. I believed I've always been logged in on Printables when downloading things.
And what you say about the amount of time that has to pass... I think sometimes I've gone back to edit a make (that didn't have the stars available when I published it) and the stars would appear now. But that is not the case for the last ~5 makes I've published.
So yeah, it would be great if we could understand how the system actually works.
Thanks for your input 🙂
