printables.com "Meets Open Definition" - what this means?

What does "Meets Open Definition" on printables mean?

I was assuming that this means that project has source file available. But that's not true.  I see many projects that have only stl files marked with "Meets Open Definition".

stl file is obviously not source file of a project but intermediate representation. Stl is not "open". So that "Meets Open Definition" has to be something different or just printables classifies projects incorrectly.

I assume this means that the prints are free to use and in many cases totally free to distribute/modify/whatever.  Many/most prints appear to be at least available for some kind of remix and redistribution, such as:

'This work is licensed under a Creative Commons (International License)'

'Public Domain'

✔ | Sharing without ATTRIBUTION

✔ | Remix Culture allowed

✔ | Commercial Use

✔ | Free Cultural Works

✔ | Meets Open Definition

Oh, a room for improvement for printables.com then - additional marking (and searching) of projects that have source files available and can be easily improved/changed/engaged by community.

thingiverse also lack such thing but has API and it was easy to create collections of projects with source files available, split by design tool used to create these (so for example collection of FreeCAD projects).

printables.com could take an advantage and have such feature "built-in".
