Print Fan Error

At 97% completed, my printer failed. The display reads as follows ( See photo ).

What do I do to correct this? And do I throw out the print, or has it been Paused instead of Stopped?

Unhappy. The printer is in a nice cool environment. No chance it got too hot.

Please advise, thank you.

Peter

Re: Print Fan Error

Your print fan has failed or stopped, or the wiring to it is broken. Toss the print and before your next print turn off “Fans Check” under Settings. This will allow you to print until you find the problem.

Re: Print Fan Error

You wouldn't have happened to have been printing flexfill at the time?

I think I have found a bug in either Slicr PE or the firmware. I am using 3.5.0 and 2.2.2 drivers. I am tring to report the problem to Prusa at the moment but I don't know the mechanism for bug reports.

Basically Slicr PE is putting in a fan disable "M107" and the firmware shortly after that reports "print fan error"

Re: Print Fan Error

To make your report, you need to go to https://github.com/prusa3d/Slic3r open the issues tab, check to see if your issue has already been reported and add a plus, if not already reported raise a new issue giving as much detail as you can.

Re: Print Fan Error

I eventually managed to report the bug on Github. I put it in as a firware bug in 3.5.0 rather than Slicr because it should be able to disable the fan without causing the controller to bug out.

Re: Print Fan Error

I was going to guess a broken cable. It is extremely easy to pinch the cable when screwing the back of the extruder.
I have managed to do this twice already 😳 😳 😯

Re: Print Fan Error

Hi
I have just the same problem.
The fan starts and stops until the error message is displayed.

Re: Print Fan Error

Same problem here, if i have to guess it started after the previous firmware update, never got the error before that.

Fan is spinning ok, difficult to say if at the proper speed but if manually operated it responds normally.

Sent an email also to prusa team, we'll see ....

While it's running, move the extruder all the way to the right and left.
If it stops while doing that, you've got a broken wire.
