Plumes during printing
Hello everybody, I am kinda new to printing, so I might not have the correct term. But when printing the first layer, there always seems to be a plume (sticking upwards piece of plastic), like there was some excess plastic when it started to print.
Is this a common phenomenon? What can be the cause? And the most important question is, how can I get rid of these? I have attached a hopefully helpful picture. 
This happens on a MK3s, I have been fiddling a lot with the layer height, I think/hope I got it correct now.

This is reasonably normal behavior. It is part adhesion, part linear acceleration. Cleaning the bed will help, and the easiest to do first.
This snip of your image is proof of adhesion problems. That line should be attached to the bed, but isn't sticking and is stretched to the wrong path. The same is happening with the start/stop points of the rings. The retraction is sucking the filament off the bed because the filament isn't sticking to the bed in the first place.
