RE: Photogammetry

Once I get this thing dialed in it should be great. I'm happy with 1st attempt.

RE: Photogammetry

I understand the desire to speed up the process of taking all the photos.  I have played a bit with photogrammetry  a couple of years ago and it does get tedious taking and processing all the photos.  Looks like you have a real good start on the process.  I really like your idea of the target drum.  If I may ask, where did you find the target symbols?  Also, have you tried the Meshroom software?

RE: Photogammetry

I am fooling around with agisoft meshshape due to the fact I would have to upgrade my video card with Meshroom. However, my son is trying Meshroom on his super computer and playing with the settings and has seen some decent results. It's still too early in the game to select one or the other. The targets are available online from agisoft as a pdf. Their software automatically identifies the targets which is a time saver over manually going in and selecting match points. I imported about 100 images into autocad and traced them so I could scale it down to fit the drum. The drum over the flat plane was my idea which I came up with because of the 3 cameras. If you want the target drum stl let me know and I can post it in the model area.
