PETG lifting on one side only (Ender 3)
I'm using Prusaslicer 2.9.3 and printing PETG on my modded Ender 3 Pro. The mods are a BMG extruder, all metal hotend, and direct drive conversion. I've dialed in the stringing with this PETG filament (via 2d retraction tower) (and I have thoroughly dried it using a filament dryer), but I continue to get lifting on the right side of the print bed. What seems to be the case is that, more specifically, whenever the printhead ends up at the end of the layer before going to the next there is lifting. Printing at 240C 80C bed. I've also dialed in squish, extrusion multiplier, etc. all of the related differences between PETG and PLA.
My pet theory is that what's happening is, due to PETG being stickier than PLA, when the printhead is done with the layer and moves back to the left to start on the next layer it causes lifting by a small amount of stinging (I'm not using z-hop / z-lift nor ramping lift). Is this a possibility? I mostly print a lot of flat objects like spray paint stencils, so it's pretty consistently in the same spot. If this is true, what are some remedies? Is there a way to tell Prusaslicer to do a very quick jerk to the right after each layer to kind of snap off the extra stringing? If this isn't the case, should I be using a different retraction tower? I'm using this one http://retractioncalibration.com/ According to my calibration towers I am at the best distance and speed.
