Not 3D Printing: A different take on grounding...

Here's one for those of you with a background in electronics: I did a quick search on Amazon looking at grounding straps and ran into this. For a mere $89, you can buy two pads that connect to a grounded power outlet with a plug. It includes an outlet tester, so must be legit. The reviews are ... enlightening. Apparently, it matters if you "use" it on your feet or back.

"Grounding refers to going barefoot outdoors for 30 minutes per day. However, it’s not always possible to go outside. These mats help you connect to the earth anywhere."

Say what??

OK, this was some unexpected entertainment for a Friday. Apparently Joan needn't be left out of the benefits of grounding...

So I could use some copper-infused filament to 3D print my own! I just saved $80 by owning a 3D printer!

Anybody want to get in on the ground floor of my soleless "grounded" shoe business?

"Backed up by the Earthing Institute ".

Oh great! The creator's own quack institute endorses his own snake oil invention.

They should have the pads wired up to the 'active' to remove the clowns dumb enough to buy one from the gene pool.
