New diagnostic service offered by Prusa
I understand Prusa is getting ready to announce a new service to Mk3 users.
Essentially a user would send in an audio clip of standard "test" print and from how the machine sounds Prusa would suggest tightening, loosening, greasing, replacement etc., of various components.
There would be a nominal charge for this, the price of which could be credited toward a parts order.
How does Prusa have the manpower for this?? Well, the analysis is done by AI and was designed by an outside firm that specializes in audio analysis. This is currently being done by jet engine makers.
Prusa has been recording many of its farm printers and this treasure trove of data has helped seed the AI program.
My printers are starting to sound like me getting out of bed in the morning so I am all in for this service.
