(networking) Smoke Detector for basement

Hi,
I live in a small apartment and have a extra room in the basement. That's my little workplace and where my Mk3 stands.

I want to install a smoke Detector above the printer just for safety but if it triggers I won't hear it on the second floor.

I found some smoke detectors with network functionality. They connect to each other and if one is triggered, the others will alert too.
The problem is the distance between basement and my apartment is too long so I don't get a connection between the smoke detectors. The only option is to install an additional smoke Detector in the stairwell for example, that would work as a repeater. Unfortunately I'm not allowed to do that because the other owners of the house don't want that.

Does anybody know a solution for that? There are some smoke detectors that will connect via wifi (I have internet in the basement room) , but they are really expensive.

mains powered 3 wire circuit.

Tank you, but I already tried a similar product. One smoke Detector connects to the other and so on. The connection is based on 433mhz, but the range isn't enough from my room in the basement to my apartment in the second floor.
Of course there is the possibility to install one or two additional smoke detectors in the stairwell. That would increase the range, but the other owners of the house don't allow me to install something in the stairwell.

Or have I misunderstood something in the manual you posted?
