Mk2s to Mk3 upgrade disassembly guide
Just completed disassembly of a Mk2s in prep for the Mk3 upgrade. In Step 10 (of the Mk2s disassembly) it talks about removal of the Z axis smooth rods. Why is that? Anyone know?

The Prusa MK3 Assembly Guide assumes you have pretty much completely disassembled your MK2S, also it is to make it easier to rebuild without having anything attached to the vertical frame.

Sorry, I don't understand your answer. I was referring to the Mk2s disassembly instructions themselves, which are describing *how* you take apart the mk2s.
If you intend to rebuild the mk2s (as I guess most people who buy the upgrade kit will do) then removing the z axis smooth rods is redundant. In fact, leaving the rods in place ensures the frame is still rigid and therefore still square, saving you from having to perform this task again.
