Mac OSX kernel panic with 3Dconnexion Space Mouse
Not strictly a Prusa topic, but I'm hoping that there are some modelers out there that may be able to help
Is anyone using a 3Dconnexion USB Space Mouse on 2019 Mac Pro running Catalina? I’m running on a 2019 Mac Pro, and with the Space mouse plugged in and the driver installed, the system will intermittently (once every 2-4 days) freeze, then crash with a kernel panic. The Space Mouse runs fine on a MacBook Pro with Mojave, but always causes a kernel freeze when plugged in to the Mac Pro running Catalina. The kernel panic is definitely caused by the Space Mouse, but I don’t know if it’s due to the 2019 Mac Pro or to Catalina. The problem has existed for several months, and the 3Dconnexion support has been unresponsive to queries about this problem, so I’m looking for any help in isolating the problem.
If anyone is running a USB Space Mouse on a 2019 Mac Pro running Catalina, please let me know. Similarly, if anyone is using the Bluetooth Space Mouse (not USB) with a 2019 Mac Pro under Catalina, please let me know that also. Since 3Dconnexion seems to be ignoring this issue, I’m trying to see if I can figure out the problem myself.
Thanks in advance for any help,
