Lithophanes - Cricut talk
Hi All, I'm a newbie so I apologize if I step in the wrong way.
I'm trying to persuade patrons at our smaller public library that makerspace is a cool place for them.
I wondered if anyone on the list has made any 3D lithophanes and if so if you could please share any photos or graphics of your makes?
I also wanted to invite our patrons to visit our Makerspace to explore our Cricut machine to help market our 3D printer.
This isn't the list for Circuts but wondered for those who have run Makerspaces which forums they've found best for exploring Cricut makes?

I have experimented a bit with this, but never went so far as to build LED display boxes for them. This is just illuminated with a flashlight from behind and the LED status bar over the printer.

I made a present for my wife containing a lithophane of her favorite late cat.
The globe is a viewer with a backlight.
I used one of those online lithophane makers to convert from a .jpg photo.
Printed vertically (r) and horizontally (l) to see which looked better, the vertical one was more true to life.
