Let's talk PTFE Tubing
I have tried several. Capricorn is nice but I think I prefer the stuff you can see through. This is especially true on the Mini. Does anyone else have an opinion?

I wish Capricorn was clear, being able to see the filament (or not) in the PTFE is a helpful diagnostic aid. After trying Capricorn for a while with no noticeable difference in print quality, etc. I switched back to the stock Mini setup with clear PTFE.

The Capricorn PTFE has lower friction values and only shows advantages in extreme cases, e.g. when TPU is printed. For most applications, however, a standard PTFE will certainly also be sufficient.

Concur. I have had challenges. I had Capricorn on 6 of 12 Prusa printers. I now have it two of 4 minis and will be scaling it back.

Capricorn PTFE is a gimmick. The translucent or clear PTFE tubing is much more useful and works equally as well (Even with TPU).

Maybe. On my FYSETC hotend, the heakbreak is PTFE lined. I did find that the PTFE liner lasted longer in this hotend if I use Capricorn or a clone of Capricorn. I agree with you with most printers. In this unique case or the Ender 3, it might be superior.

I made a very sweeping statement, which means, in some use cases, it must be wrong. Mea Culpa.

I was just giving you a hard time. I just don’t want folks to think it does not have any benefits. I think it is sold more to use with non-all-metal hotends.

If you print with 0.10mm nozzles like I do, any form of fine tuning will affect the result. But since these are special applications, a stock parts should normally do its job well. Of course, there are quality differences with PTFE materials, as with other materials. But everyone must discover this for themselves..
