Issues with Sonic pad and Prusa Slicer

 Hello Everyone,

Let me explain whats going on. I updated my S1 Pro with a sonic pad. I got most of the bugs out and I am wanting to use prusa slicer.

When I load the G code file into the sonic pad and press print it just sits  there. Watching  the bed temp and nozzle temp they dont increase.

I load the same part from cura and all goes as expected. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this might be happening? I really like using Prusa

So I would like to get this sorted. One more thing. In the printer settings I have tried Marlin and Klipper firmware and neither work.

Thanks.

Charlie

Hi Charlie, have you tied preheating manually and then start the print? Do you have the start/end g code set?

I haven't figured out prusa either, it works for me but the quality and speed is lower than cura and i'm still trying to solve this because i like aswell prusa more.

Hi.

I had the same problem. It seems that PrusaSlicer naming settings don't fit some Sonic Pad logic. Whether there are "_" or "@" symbols, I don't know for sure.

Anyway, as far as I renamed the file, it started working.

RE: Issues with Sonic pad and Prusa Slicer

I have other problems after attaching S1 Pro to sonic pad with PrusaSlicer.

First of all, I've tried to print some of my old prints with old profile. It works strange give some errors.

Something that G11 or something is not exists.

After that I've changed some speed settings and resliced  model. At the beginning, all was OK, but in the middle something strange happened - it looks as printer stop moving at vertical axis. I've tried on several different models and result was the same. if happens G11 that problems with printer. as a result - i have cracked nozzle and need to replace the heater.

May be some one have the solution for sonic pad?

Change the  printer firmware from marlin to Klipper in your printer profile.
