Is (Prusament) filament silicone free?

Hello,

I would like to use 3D prints in an environment where it is required to make sure everything you use is silicone free.
For Prusament there are the individual safety data sheet but these only mention the main polymer an "additives".

Product based on polylactic acid (PLA) with additives

Do you know where I can find further information what those additives are or at least rule out that some form of silicone is used?

Kind regards

Very few filaments use silicon/silicates per se unless they are deliberate inclusions, chopped glassfibre for eg. Some pigments may include silicates so stick to transparent filaments.

By and large silicates are abrasive and filament manufacturers try to keep them at a minimum.

If this is mission critical then an enquiry through this page should help:

Oops:

Maximum storage period : 1 year from manufacture. If you do not need filament for longer period of time, insert it backinto container with attached silica gel. Product can be hygroscopic.

Silica gel is an amorphous and porous form of silicon dioxide (silica), ...

I think there is a big difference between silicone and silica. (-:

Sorry, non-native speaker here, is there a difference between "silicone" and "silicon dioxide" what silica gel is according wikipedia?

This seem to explain the difference fairly well.  https://www.livescience.com/37598-silicon-or-silicone-chips-implants.html
