Inconsistent temperature specification with Prusament and PrusaSlicer profiles

I've noticed some inconsistency with Prusa products and its software.

For example, Prusament PLA tech sheet (*TDS_2022*) and the label on the side of the spool says nozzle 215C +/- 10, and Heatbed 50C +/- 10.

"Printing setup" on Prusament website says nozzle 215C, Heatbed 50-60C.

PrusaSlicer-2.7.4 has a profile for "Prusament PLA" which specifies nozzle temperature of 220C and heatbed 60C, which is neither center of the range according to spool specs or the website.

 

I get that optimal final temperature is affected by local conditions and final tuning and such, but why don't the specs have the same baseline according to the 3 official sources?

This is a general guideline where to start with and then tune it whatever you feel it works best (that's why people print temperature towers).

The online docs are not updated, similarily he labels on the spools can be just dated (like produced 1y ago and it's just not worth to relabel them).

Then there are improvements in the printing firmware and slicer filament profiles and they update those and usually faster prints require higher temperatures due to the fact that filament removes heat faster, so they compensate it with a bit higher temperatures.

It's just like with cooking. You need to have at least 60C to boil an egg and the time to do it varies depending on how you like your egg 😉

The best way is to look at printer profile recommendations for given firmware, and tune it if needed.
