I wish I didn't do this - regrets when looking back after months of using 3D printers

OK, so the story is that I'd like to get some ideas what people regret doing after getting their printer.
The overall idea for YAGNI (you ain't gonna need it) for the others to think when they have doubts.

This should also save people from frustration or money and minimize generating waste (especially wasting filament).
For me the best idea is to 'think about it and sleep with it, let it alone for 5 days and think if you still need it' - apparently it started to work in most cases, but still there are other use cases that the process failed 😉

For me after 2 months getting Prusa Mini+ I would say something like:
- there are some prints that I just printed because I thought it would be useful, but they were not - especially spatula to remove prints because by coincidence it was always the little knife that was already in my hand when going to remove the print.
- some prints are not good enough for the print and it is better to take time to make them in other materials - especially in metal - thinking about camera holders attached to hot beds, that doing them for the third time felt like 'this is not going to work anyway'
- not using safety wearables - especially glasses when dealing with items after print (one accident was painful but thankfully not ended in catastrophe), and gloves (number of fingers burned or glued by hot glue/cyanopan...)
- sometimes postprocessing is a real nightmare - was using paint that was wet for 24h, so it took FIVE days to paint it with spray paint
- not planning well enough about extra requirements for other components for the print - I'm thinking mainly about screws etc that are needed to finish the given project

If someone has other ideas please share your experience, thanks in advance.

On my things to do is surely an enclosure, interested what not to do in that matter 😀

PS: Of course the positive side of getting printer is another story, I wasn't even aware it would be such a game changer in the works I do as hobbyist, but let's leave it to other threads.

See my GitHub and printables.com for some 3d stuff that you may like.
