Hybrid vase mode in prusaslicer

Ok, here is a stupid/silly question.

Is it possible with prusa slicer to somehow print an object in vase mode and switch half way up to a print with lets say 100% infill?

The reason I'm asking is that I'm designing simple toy rockets that can be launched using a bottle and a straw. they print mostly fine and fast in vase mode but the top could benefit from having some extra weight I think. Also quite a lot of air is escaping at the top right now.

I could make it a 2 part print one vase and one 100% infill but I was wondering if anyone had attempted this (half vase mode, half solid) before.

Example of mini rocket on a bottle

This doesn’t answer your question but… have you considered pouring a small amount of plasti-dip or similar substance into the nose of the model? This would give you the added weight you want and also seal the layers up high in the model to reduce air loss. Just a thought.

Cheers

Hi Hans,
I think you may be looking at this project from the wrong point of view...
Have a look at this project file...

The chances of the project above being a good fit on your straw, are remote so What I suggest is that you do a test print to see what changes need to be made, and then scale the model to fit your straw.

the lower supports are intended to be sacrificial they have been thinned where they meet the rocket body, so they should break away, quite easily.
