How to print something where the first main "plate" layer is not on the base?

When the first plate layer is essentially raised off the bed with nubs or some other feature as shown in the screenshot, it's almost impossible removing supports.

Previously I have managed to print stuff like this ok, despite the fact it essentially prints into the air, turns a corner whilst printing in the air, and then makes it back on to the supporting feature.

What seems to happen is that it prints just off the bed, then the next layer kind of sticks to it, and pulls it up.

But sometimes depending on the shape, the accuracy isn't that great and there's droopy extrusions.

Can someone recommend the best way to print this?

Based on what I see in your screenshot, it looks like you can flip the model upside down and print it without any supports.

If flipping over the model is not an option due to a similarly complex top surface, there isn't really much you can do. One idea is to see if you can model in breakaway supports to minimize bridging distances. You could of course paint them on in Prusaslicer but by adding them to your design they could be optimized for your specific geometry. Also make sure the bridging angle is optimized and don't just use the default, which tends to favor for whatever reason the longest distance, which is hardly ever the best.
