How to get files from PC across the room to MK3S+

Forgive me for not finding the answers to this question if it is already out here somewhere. The search function doesn't seem to be helping me. I do not want internet access or remote control or anything fancy as our company IT guidelines would probably not allow anyway.

Is there a way to send files to the printer across the room instead of unplugging and plugging this SD card back and forth nine hundred times a day? I'm working on prototypes and printing little piece to test fit one at a time and it's a constant back and forth. It's wearin' me out.

Is there a way to run an ethernet cable between the two and have the printer read a location on my local PC? How dang sweet would that be? Drag and drop would be amazing.

Can someone point me in the right direction? I'm not all into this Blueberry Pi stuff. I don't understand any of it. Any help would be appreciated!!!

You can get WiFi enabled SD cards but I find it simplest to run two SD cards then I can design and store the next prototype iteration while the current one is printing.  You have to attend the printer to remove the print and start the next so swapping cards at the same time is trivial.  If you can get them, use different coloured cards or label them clearly.

The Raspberry Pi route is simple enough but don't connect your regular PC, there are too many tasks interrupting the smooth transfer of data for trouble free printing.

Cheerio,
