How is Prusa in terms of upgradeability?
I am saving up to purchase a 3D printer in 2025/2026. If product is about open source I am always on board with the idea, hence Prusa comes out as first on my list. However, I did notice there is variery of different models available. This question is more towards people who've had Prusa models before. I am curious if the new Prusa Core One is more of a first iteration, meaning we can expect issues and bugs. For example, can we expect better model to release within the next year if we look at previous iterations. Alternatively, if purchasing the core one, can we expect these new upgrades that are yet to be released to be available for Core One? I guess its also about modularity 😉
In theory (but don't try it) there is an upgrade path from Mk2, through the iterations of Mk3 & Mk4 all the way to the Core One ... at any stage one or two upgrade steps make sense but if more then it's no longer cost effective. Prusa are unlikely to stop offering upgrades now...
Cheerio,
