how do I use xy size compensation with dual extrusion

I am using the solo sv04 printer with dual extrusion. I would like to use the dual extrusion feature but need to have the horizontal expansion as well, is there a way to do this with Prusa slicer?

Hello, yes, PrusaSlicer provides the option to adjust the XY size compensation when using dual extrusion. This feature allows you to compensate for any offset or size differences between the two extruders.

To enable XY size compensation in PrusaSlicer for dual extrusion, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the "Printer Settings" tab.
  2. Under the "General" section, locate the "Size compensation" option.
  3. Enable the "Size compensation" checkbox.
  4. Enter the desired value for the XY size compensation. This value represents the offset or size difference between the two extruders. Positive values move the extruder in the positive X and Y direction, and negative values move it in the negative direction.
  5. Adjust the XY size compensation value based on your specific printer and dual extrusion setup. You may need to experiment and fine-tune this value to achieve the desired results.
  6. After setting the XY size compensation, continue with your regular slicing process, adjusting other parameters as needed.

XY size compensation has nothing to do with dual extruders it is a tool to alter the size of a model on the build plate

what I think you are looking for, is Extruder Offset!
