RE: Has anyone received any orders from late April

I received an update from chat support, apparently my kit is scheduled to ship out "before the end of next week". I ordered an MK3S kit with black parts, which the customer support person told me were a little more uncommon, though the color is unlikely to have been a factor in the delay. I'm guessing the lead times are related to the sheets.

Order 25th of April, 3-4 Weeks lead time then.

Nothing happened so far, last week the support chat told me "will be sent during next one or one and half weeks".

Wonder how long this might take, and at which point i cancel this stuff, as i become disappointed more and more.

Cov-19 okay, but i observed the quite "optimistic" communication in lead time for this product ( i3 ) all the time already, this is sad.

Subsequently the current 5-6 weeks likely are more like 7-8.

I received my shipping notification this morning.  I had an orange and block Mk3S, 2 sheets,  with several filaments.

When did you put your order in?

April 29th.  Tracking shows it will arrive Monday in California.

Finally found out the problem with my order.  I ordered on 18-Apr and later I had to make an aministrative change.  Support told me that I would have to cancel the first order and create a new one.  They assured me twice that they would make sure I kept my place in queue.  Well....   guess what happened....   they totally lost my place in the queue and put me at the back of the line.  Argggghhhhh.

Agree with this 110%.

I would strongly suggest to pre-read all of the assembly instructions (and the comments) before the kit arrives and get anything cleared up that you do not understand.

When assembling, if anything does not look right, go right, or seem right, STOP! See what is going on and get things clear in your mind before you proceed.

The gummy bear breaks as assembly steps may seem frivolous, but they give you time to reflect on things, inspect your work, and clear up anything that is not just so.

The most tricky part, for me, anyway, was the extruder, particularly the piece that holds the fan in its proper place. It took some futzing around and carefully comparing the photos to what I had in my hands.

That, and the first-time active Z calibration were the most tricky parts.

Every kit should include a link to the "Live Z my way" forum post. Invaluable.

Yeah ... Read the first couple of pages for the extruder and thought, that can wait till later. Looks like the easy parts are done.

Hey all, I ordered an i3 MK3s kit back on April 29th, when the lead time was listed as 3 weeks. I'm at 4 weeks and counting now, and I'm wondering if anyone else who ordered a printer around that time has received theirs. I tried contacting support through chat, but they weren't able to provide me with an update.

It's sort of frustrating that the lead times are so inaccurate. I'm sure someone at Prusa knows where a given order is in the queue, and could share that information, but for some reason they choose not to.

I placed 2 orders for 2 MK3s kits on 5-4-2020 when estimated shipping was 3-4 or 3-5 weeks (I can't recall exactly which time frame now). I made a 3rd order the same day for filaments and extra parts and it has arrived already. I see the estimated shipping for the printer is much longer now, I'm hoping they ship this week since it's approaching 5 weeks now, I wish there was some kind of indication on the wait time, the suspense is killing me, that I am moving soon so really need them to arrive quickly.

I ordered the fully assembled i3 MK3S (Black & Orange) with the standard smooth sheet and nothing else on April 22 at that time lead time was posted as 5-6 weeks.  This past week the lead time was posted at 7 weeks.  June 10 will be 7 weeks.  It is still listed as back ordered.

I ordered on April 14th for an assembled printer and at the time the shipping table said 5-6 weeks. I am sitting at 7 weeks and 4 days when the current shipping chart says 7 weeks. I talked to chat two weeks ago and they told me it would have shipped last week.

Don't get your hopes up. They do not communicate properly to ease customer stress when they are missing their own lazily forecasted lead time. Where do they get off telling customers that they will wait 7 weeks when I have already waited longer and was told a maximum of 6?

I don't expect a miracle or that everything go perfect - but it's not my job to keep track of this printer right now, it's theirs. They have a responsibility to keep us updated on what is going on and after two missed dates, if you ask me, an obligation to let us know why things are taking so long.

OUCH!

Somebody in Florida is obviously trying some profiteering off of the long lead time for these ... 🙁

With the unavailability of many items there is a lot of price gouging these days.  Ebay and Marketplace vendors on Amazon are prime culprits.  I note their names and will never buy from them in the future.

I do know that somebody on Ebay was gouging for Prusament at something like US $70-something per spool a while back.  Since the Covid hit, it seems to be catch as catch can for filament and I've seen US $40 commonly asked for what was going for $20-ish prior to the outbreak.  Still, if you look around you can find most in the $20-some range.

Baby numbers, y'all... I've been waiting 13 weeks, was charged at the point of order, has been on backorder since, and it now shows up as "On backorder (awaiting payment)" since 1-2 weeks ago.

No word from support either, unfortunately. I've tried reaching them through both my order and their normal support form, but not a pip so far. I'm fine waiting if the delays are due to the pandemic, but I really want to know what's up with the whole "awaiting payment" thing - I don't have the money anymore, that's for sure.

You should really reach out to them via Live Chat. Sounds like their order system doesn’t think you’ve paid them and they’re not processing your order at all. So you can’t contact them, then you’re gonna be waiting forever.

Those are the same ones being sold on Amazon.  It is cheaper just ordering from Prusa.
