RE: Has anyone received any orders from late April
This is the kind of crap that has me seriously considering canceling my order.
I personally wouldn’t read too much into that post.
They ordered 8th May, and we know from people in this thread some early May orders a shipping, so I would personally chalk up their email to coincidence rather than an exec intervening.
I also wouldn’t expect orders to ship in perfect first come first serve order. I expect they batch up different printer variants (Black/Orange/Textured/Smooth) so one week loads of black printers will go out with smooth plates, but then there won’t be more of that variant shipping for a few days.
That would result in people mostly getting their shipments in order, but if you get lucky and your specific order is the last printer of a specific batch, you might get your order a week or two faster than someone who ordered something different on the same day.
If batching means they can ship printers faster, then I’m happy to see a few people get their printers before me, even if they ordered after me.

@avianlyric
Isn’t that the truth. It would be nice to know a reason why the shipments are out of order but history tells me we will not get that.

RE: Has anyone received any orders from late April
Where the hell has anybody read anything implying that orders are guaranteed to be shipped in the order received? Modern logistics don't work that way. If I go to a car dealership (prepared to spend a hell of a lot more money than on a Prusa), there is absolutely zero guarantee that I'm going to get my car faster than the guy that walked in 5 minutes later. There are dozens of variables that can impact shipping times. If your expectations and feeling of entitlement are so high as to expect an entire business to accommodate your convenient sense of "fair", perhaps it would be best for all concerned if you did go elsewhere. There's stuff going on in the world, and a lot more of it now than usual. Deal with it.

Calm down man. Did not mean to offend you. I’m only passing on information I was given in live chat with Prusa yesterday. Also comparing cars to a printer that has only 4 ordering options is like comparing apples to oranges. Also I never claimed to feel entitled. People that ordered mid April still have not received their orders. Would I like my printer? God damn right I would but I believe the people that ordered in April should get theirs before I get mine.
RE: Has anyone received any orders from late April
Short update. Ordered my kit on 1st of May and asked yesterday in the chat for current state. Support told me that my printer should be shipped this week. And 3 minutes ago I got an email from Prusa with shipping informations.
RE: Has anyone received any orders from late April
I ordered 16.4., lead time for mk3s was 4-5 weeks and 5-6 weeks for MMU2 at that time. Tomorrow will be 7 weeks. Support said last week it will be shipped by the end of this week.. we will see..

Where the hell has anybody demanded guaranteed shipments by the listed date?
RE: Has anyone received any orders from late April
My posts where not about ranting, mainly about trying to get a realistic idea as to when my printer kit might ship. I also posted my order date, what I ordered as well as my ship date so others could get an idea on possible shipping times. Also, it looks like my kit should be here by tomorrow afternoon. 😀
From what I have seen, it looks like there is about a 5 week delay in shipping. Take that with a large grain of salt though.

I hope so. I ordered 15.4 MK3S and MMU2S and still waiting.

I have a sinking feeling that the MMU might be holding up your order. I hope it ships out sooner than later anyways. You could ask if they could on chat if they could separate the MMU from the printer order.
I am planning on ordering a MMU once this craziness is over. Hopefully in the next couple of months, but more than likely it will be a Christmas present to myself.
RE: Has anyone received any orders from late April
You see its not abt "Instant Gratification " or a feeling of "Self Entitlement" its abt respect for a paying customer,,we are not cash cows.
A little example if i may.
I bought/ordered a large bed lathe and gearhead mill from China, expected delivery time four months, no problem there , i received a personal e-mail from the despatch manager explaining why exactly it takes so long to deliver and inviting me to reply that i was ok with that. Not only that but i paid no delivery charges, and payment was not taken from me until the day the items were despatched. that is good customer service from a company that wants my repeat business.
What is not good customer service is taking orders and funds for a delivery date that appears to change day by day , without even a mail detailing the new schedule, What is not good customer service is continueing to take orders and funds whilst being patently unable to fulfill the already existing orders. this kind of service does not encourage repeat orders.
Now me i already have a number of printers i am perfectly happy with and am buying a Prusa for the fun of self building but it has to be said there are a number of companies out there that offer kits for sale, I have no idea if they are better or worse than a Prusa and i really do not care i am buying a kit for the fun and challenge that goes with building your own machine.
As i have said before i am right at the start of the cycle having only ordered a week ago and as such expect to wait for some time for my "instant gratification"But i read these forums and not everyone is a happy bunny with the way things are.

I doubt that. Based in the serious issues with the MMU I would expect they are re-looking at the design and shipping may take a lot longer on that.
RE: Has anyone received any orders from late April
I definitely feel like there's a real vacuum of information for existing orders. I truly do not mind waiting weeks, but there hasn't been good communication regarding exisiting orders. We can all see the dates slipping in that table, can see MMUs, etc. being temporarily pulled from sale - what we can't see is some clear statements about expectations for existing orders. That would be ok in week 1/2 of this crisis, or even month 1, but there has been a fair bit of time to consider customer engagement now.
There is a model right at https://help.prusa3d.com/en/article/shipping-information_2297 for how to do it - look at the Mini shipping info. If there was something that just said 'Orders placed April 13-19, expect shipping June 1-7, all of a sudden it's clear an unambiguous. Those dates could even slip and change from time-to-time and I don't think anyone would really care. Just say "for orders with multiple items, they will ship when the complete order is ready".
I think the sentiment here is that Prusa isn't communicating well, and some of their practices that usually would be ok (like billing immediately) do not present well when they aren't setting clear expectations. And I think that's a reasonable criticism, but we are where we are and it's up to Prusa if they want to make some changes in their approach, or if they want to just let this ride out and hope they don't burn too much goodwill along the way.

I can understand frustration with the ordering process, but I find it hard to take anybody who threatens to take their ball and go home because somebody who ordered later may have received their order a bit sooner seriously.

RE: Has anyone received any orders from late April
I realise that watching the printer back order queue get longer rather than shorter is pretty frustrating, in know I’m pretty annoyed. But arguing with each over on how valid or invalid our individual frustrations doesn’t help.
I’m personally keen to see this thread going back to tracking the progress of people orders, so that we can better estimate when our own orders will turn up.
RE: Has anyone received any orders from late April
I order 29th April, contact the chat for the first time today and told likely one more week to wait. Just have to be a bit more patient. My old ender 3 is still hanging on in there so its not too bad. Just want to get my hands on those gummie bears
RE: Has anyone received any orders from late April
your right lets go back to simple shipping / order dates to get an idea when we can estimate our printers
RE: Has anyone received any orders from late April
I received my shipping notification this morning. I had an orange and block Mk3S, 2 sheets, with several filaments.

When did you put your order in?
RE: Has anyone received any orders from late April
They are sold out of both flex steel sheets on the e-shop. That would probably explain why some of us are being told a week or two more.
