They are awfully nice machines, and the kit is a good experience. Be patient. You'll get accustomed to some of Prusa's quirky business practices. I am still waiting for my third unit. I haven't even bothered to check on the latest ship date. It will come when it comes.

I think a lot of folks are frustrated by their orders being late.  It is compounded by COVID delays and our instant gratification societies.  I agree communication could be better, but it is important to understand that things are delayed and unavailable due to COVID and this is a small company.  Slow shipping is a long standing problem with Prusa and it is worse now.

Yes, I looked at the picture.  I would say if you are that upset, cancel you order or complain by email / support to Prusa.  It does little good to post it here because I doubt that take a temperature of the organization on the complaints on the forum.

IMAO, it's worth the wait.  Thankfully I ordered mine before the C19 mess hit.

My MK3S most definitely outperforms the Taz5 (which cost about 2.5 times as much) at the 'makerspace', which, of course, I cannot currently use due to the lockdown.

I had one smaller order of various items that took a while, but it came very shortly after I gently prodded them.  😉

@luchador

I am just telling you the three more effective ways to communicate your anger with the company.  Posting on the forum is not very effective.  Direct communication in one of the three method is more effective:

  1. Email Prusa
  2. Contact support and indicate your are very upset and want to file a complaint
  3. Cancel you order through support and indicate you anger as a reason

@jsw

Prusa is definitely better than the TAZ.

I was really jazzed by the initial research on TAZ but once I dug under the surface with my research it looked like the company and product was really a mess.  My lesson learned is to take initial research assessment with some caution and dig under the cover.

Agree 110%, and I would suggest that anyone frustrated by slow delivery time please be patient.  I'm sure it's simply due to supply/demand, complicated, of course, by the C19 situation.

When the Taz5 was working, it did a very good job, usually, but the problem seemed to be that it was well 'student-ized' and seemed to be down more than it was up.  In fact, for a while in February, all of the 'good' 3d printers in the lab were down at once.

Stop who say I angry ? I say „ that can get some people angry „ !! I not happy thats right bec everyone should be treated same and who orders first should get first , thats simple a point of fairness but bec I didnt know all details about it I cant be angry just not happy .

And I never say i complaining about the delivery time themself ! bust about the too less and clear wrong informations about delivery times .

I would have written directly 6-10 weeks delivery times in march if get earlier be happy .  so no one could say anything about delivery times ( what not means not to be happy if others get earlier)

Hope now its more clear

What I was told by the folks at the local 'makerspace' is that the company that produces the Taz line was acquired by another firm late last year, and since then, parts that are not printable or available from a third party are slow to get.  One of the deciding factors in going with Prusa over Lulzbot or others was the level of support that I picked up.

Because of the issues with the Taz5, when I got my MK3 running I put together a 'crash kit' of items that appear likely to break or wear out, such as belts and nozzles, and when the 'makerspace' went into lockdown I added to that some printed parts, such as those of the extruder, following some 'meltdown' reports here.

I'm quite confident that with the Prusa line, should something that is Unique to Prusa fail, I will not be waiting forever with a down machine.

@luchador

I misunderstood.  A lot of folks complain on the forum and fail to understand stand that the leadership of Prusa are not regularly surfing every post on the forum. The direct approach of complaint is more appropriate and successful.

its ok no worry ,

For mw that posting is just to get some data from others to get maybe a feeling about when the Finally happy day could be , so far looks like 6 weeks ++ is the time to plan with it for the ones who already ordered for more details we would need much more order data

One thing I have picked up on with Prusa.

If you buy a machine, pick a standard package and add nothing to it.

If Prusa can grab an already packed box and slap a label on it - it will ship faster.

Make all the add-ons a separate order. They can take their sweet time. Yes, you eat it on shipping, but that is the trade-off.

RE: Has anyone received any orders from late April

I did not mean to fire everybody up by posting that pic, it was early when I saw it and it really bothered me. I’m sure it bothered others as well. I was basically told by support yesterday that it is impossible for people that ordered after me to get their shipping notice before me. My big frustration and I’m sure that many people on here have is the inconsistencies. I believe if you ordered first you should get your printer first. I’m sure the people that ordered in April that have not received a shipping notice are just as dissatisfied seeing someone that ordered on May 7 get a shipping notice before they have.  That being said they keep a 2-3 month buffer of parts on hand to keep lead times from creeping up. They also state that at most add a week to the lead time when you order to allow for delays. When I ordered it was 3 weeks. I am now in week 4. I was told yesterday that it “should” ship in 2 weeks. If I had known then that it would take almost 2 months, I would have spent my money elsewhere. By the way, lead times on new kit orders are now 5-6 weeks.
