I finally received the "shipped" email.   Paid 05.06.20, shipped 06.22.20, just under 7 weeks.

I have not received my shipping notice yet. I also ordered May 6th. This gives me some hope, not much, but some.

Same here ordered on the 6th, and I saw half the orders from the 6th shipped on Friday. So I am really hopeful ours will ship today.

It's very sad, I ordered back in early May and it's still quiet... I don't know when it'll be over.

I thought for sure I would see shipping notice today. But now I have a new theory. 🙂 I see on the spread sheet one order was shipped that was placed after ours, and it's to Sweden. So I am thinking they batch ship to each country/region. Maybe today was Europe. Right now I am just praying it's like every other day, and Friday is not their USA shipment day.

Maybe that's why those two orders got pushed up way ahead of us for NL and AU. They may have had a Australia shipment going out last week and grouped them up.

@cmx

Yeah I think that had been mentioned at some point either in this thread or another I’ve been following. Nothing for me either.

That could be the case. My order was finally shipped yesterday, to Norway. Ordered 18th of April, sent 22nd of June. Over 9 weeks wait. Mk3s Kit and mmu2s.

Grats! Looks like it's just me and a guy in the UK from May 6th now. And I see shipments going out for orders on May 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11. But they skipped mine.... I just wish they would tell us what the issues are. I have both sheets ordered, it looks like they are in stock. I have 2 Filament spools ordered, they are both in stock. Gah.

I mean if I knew if I just ordered the machine with 1 sheet it would ship I would may the extra shipping and have 2 orders.

I've read this entire topic, 14 pages so far.  Did I miss where there is a spreadsheet of all the orders?  Patiently waiting in Indiana for an order I placed on May 12th.  (Technically the 11th, but early evening here is past midnight in Prague.)  Not stressing much over it, but if there is a way to have more visibility on it, that would be great.  Just for reference, I ordered the basic kit in orange and black with no extras to avoid US customs fees.  I did end up ordering the MMU2 with some extra spools of filament, but not until it opened up on June 12th.

RE: Has anyone received any orders from late April

Hello all,

I added my info too. Thanks for the link @jeromypierce9.

Sadly, I'm working on what was once a time sensitive project. I purchased a Mk3S kit on May 5th. I needed to have product out by mid June, and even though Prusa was showing a 3-4 week leadtime I knew I was taking a risk. I sent a bank wire for a MK3S kit with a spring steel sheet, a textured PEI sheet, 4 rolls of Jet Black Prusament PETG, and roll of prusament orange PETG, and 4 E3D V6 0.4mm nozzles. If I could assume 4 weeks instead of the 3, I could hopefully expect a June 5th arrival. Nope.

I noticed on this forum that some people seemed to get their printers faster than others. I was time pressed, so to be safe(er) I ordered a 2nd MK3S kit on May 12th, this time with just a steel sheet and another 3 rolls of Prusament PETG Jet Black. Again Prusa said 3-4 week lead time, so this one would arrive June 12th ish.

Since then I've also ordered two textured PEI sheets which I ordered and received within 5 business days here in Canada. I've now also ordered 3 rolls of Prusament white PETG which has shipped and is on track to be delivered today.

I see that the steel sheets are showing out of stock at Prusa. Could this be why there is the delay? I primarily print in PETG so have no real need for the steel flex plates, I just wanted to keep some for possible future PLA prints. I may try to have Prusa send without the steel plates if this is the issue.

On the other hand, according to the Google spreadsheet, there are printers be sent out with the steel sheets.

Side note, both printers were paid by bank wire. The separate smaller orders were paid by credit card and are either here or already shipped.

Dunno...

@charles-h13

You're dead wrong Charles-h13. Posting in the forums lets other customers (and potential customers) know what is going on and what they may be getting into when sending over $700 to Prusa. Prusa is doing a horrible job at setting expectations and following up with their customers. Keeping it quiet and behind the scenes does not help others know what they might be in for. Without these forum posts, I would just assume that the commitments made on the shipping schedules are legitimate, which clearly by the comments made on this thread, are not.

@pru-113

I would say you are wrong.  We are both entitled to our own opinions.

I am fine with the customer service I have received.  If you don't like it, don't buy it.  I have own 5 other brands of printers and except for one, Prusa is head and shoulders above the rest.  I am not telling people not to post, but going on and on for page after page about your terrible experience is not taking action.

If you are that upset, I say put your money where your mouth is and spend it elsewhere.

I have received 5 orders since April 1.  All come on time or I asked and received good updates.  I don't see poor customer service.  I own 5 Prusas now so I am an experienced customer.

RE: Has anyone received any orders from late April

There's nothing wrong with posting updates on problems you're encountering. Prusa slips schedules, and I was on the customer side of this myself (90 days for my Mk3). It's when some posters (nobody in the recent discussion per se) ignore the fact that the world is not operating under "normal operating conditions" and that Prusa is more involved in the response than most companies that it is counter-productive.

  1. Production and delivery pipelines are disrupted. I'm sure Prusa is experiencing delays themselves. They could be better at updating us, but if they have to allocate resources to reporting rather than clearing the backlog, there's a negligible benefit. Yes, it sucks but some understanding is just basic human decency. Prior to COVID, Prusa had dropped delays considerably and was catching up on the Mini demand. Things have obviously changed.
  2. I would never want to insist that Prusa stick to strict delivery based on solely order dates simply because "stuff happens". Some orders are more important than others, particularly today. Deal with it. The support desk may not know why, but if someone decides a hospital or PPE production effort needs a printer first, I'm all for being bumped in the queue without apologies. There may be issues with batching for international shipping, or order specifics that impact sequencing.

Like Charles, I have experience with one of the Prusa competitors. I purchased an Artillery Sidewinder X1 at the start of the COVID crises specifically to help with PPE production. Throughout this entire crises, my Prusa has been a workhorse, operating for weeks on end without problems. My Sidewinder experienced a failure on week 2. Artillery promised to ship a replacement part (bed heating pad & thermistor) on a priority basis. I'm still waiting 2 months later. Support consisted of my sending emails, waiting for 2-3 days for a response and being asked to send numerous pictures. I never had a response within 24 hours. Many of these companies have large banners on their support pages basically saying "COVID - Tough luck". I've never been unable to contact Prusa support via chat. Another person who purchased the same Sidewinder has experienced a broken heatbreak, 2 failed controller boards and quality control issues that have kept them offline for months.

With Prusa, you may wait a long time for delivery of your printer. With most of the other companies that some people threaten to buy with instead, you're going to wait a long time for support (and possibly to get a basic functioning unit).

Considering the lack of basic understanding and empathy that seems so prevalent even now, I'd suggest that Prusa provide a "priority handling" service that -- for a fee -- will provide daily updates on order status. Pay $20-50 -- it costs money to provide real-time updates -- and you can look at a pretty status page for your super-important order. That way, Prusa can provide high maintenance customers the attention they crave without losing money to run the business in a sane manner.

I agree with you for the most part. But I haven't seen anyone requesting a day to day update on their order. Most people would just like to get a notification that their order has been delayed, but now have to find out through the forums, me included. This would be as easy as to email everyone that has an outstanding order with the message that deliveries could take between 2-3 weeks longer than stated when you ordered. This is what almost every shop (if not all in the Netherlands) does (in my experience).

Anyway, still happily waiting for my order from the 8th of May (though shipments of orders placed later does hurt a bit ;)).

Bobs Tor, thanks.  I understand the lack of clarity for some is very concerning.  It is great to get assistance on a specific problem with your printer, but it is a terrible place to gather allies to over through the evil Prusa.   Hoperfully, you will all get your printers or return them to function soon.

@charles-h13

I think you are being disingenuous with your arguments here. I have not seen anyone here call Prusa "evil" or imply they are a bad company. If anyone thought the company was evil, or incompetent we would have got a refund by now. Obviously we think the company is great, and trust we will be getting the best machine we can in the end.

The most I have seen are people frustrated at not being told what's going on, I personally am not angry at all. I know the situation for everyone is hard, for them and us. I am just sitting here at home, trying not to get sick and not go crazy.

Every reason you came up with for orders being delayed or fulfilled out of order are valid. But you are just guessing, like we all are, because we have not seen any updates. If they just said "we will be prioritizing order from hospitals" or "we are out of Textured bed" then we can adjust our expectations, and decide what to do. Like if I desperately needed a printer a month ago (when my order was estimated to arrive) but was told it would probably really take closer to two months, I would have had to buy a different crappier printer to get by. It would suck a lot, but at least I could plan accordingly.

That's all, no one is hating on Prusa.

I have found this thread very helpful to just figure out what's going on with my order based on other peoples experiences. The thread and even the spread sheet would probably not even be needed if we got regular updates on the blog/help page, or even a sticky forum post. Kind of like they have done with the Mini, saying what block of orders are done and what are being worked on, and any major delays.

Yeah this too. Not sure why a simple thread with people discussing their orders got like this.
