GT2 Belt and Pulley Suppliers

Anyone have any details on where Prusa gets the belts and pulleys?
Not trying to steal any business or anything like that... I'm building a laser engraver kit that, design wise, is heavily influenced by the Prusa Mk3 and 3D printers in general. For the sake of easy to source components it uses all the same components that the Prusa Mk3 does (with exception of linear rod lengths). This is great for making just one (since you can buy all the belts and pulleys for < $10 on amazon or ebay) but I'm trying to price out component cost for putting together kits and would like a consistent supplier that will give me a bulk quantity price break.

Parts are all identical to the Mk3

  • 2x GT2 20 Tooth 5mm bore drive pulley
  • 2x GT2 20 tooth 3mm bore idler pulley
  • 1.2m total GT2-6mm belt

Anyone know either where Prusa gets theirs or has a recommendation for a good supplier?

For that matter, same goes for the 8mm linear rods. Getting them from Misumi now, but they are $10 each for 250mm long (need 4 per machine).

I ordered my GT2 20 tooth 5mm bore idler pulley from E3D-Online. UK based, I believe.

To be clear, looking for a bulk supplier. Not the wholesaler, the company that makes them.

You should ask misumi about volume pricing. You'll probably get a much better rate than single-shots for kits.

Misumi doesn't carry that size belt or pulley. Everything else in my kit is from them so they were the first I tried.

I was referring to your comment about linear rod prices.

Back when - I used Thomas Guides ... the books. But now they are web based.

https://www.thomasnet.com/suppliers/

And many suppliers will not do business direct - instead they only sell through wholesalers.  Saves them tons on channel costs; not to mention tax law problems with international retail.
