Filament: what's going on here?
I haven't used a great variety of filaments and I was wondering what is going on here. This is Sunlu silk. I've never seen this before. The filament once extruded seems to contract on itself like it has a lot of surface tension creating this. As you see the filament I added before this comes out in a normal diameter. This seems to print at a normal diameter, this just happens when extruding filament into the air. What's going on?

RE: Filament: what's going on here?
I've seen this with the Mika3d PLA metallic filaments. The 'worm' when loading the filament will be fat, but the print will be normal. I really don't know what is causing it, but it appears to be very benign.
