Filament that will stay in shape submerged in gasoline/ethanol

I'm repairing and modifying my old Corrado to run with E85 fuel. I need to replace the fuel pump with one that works with E85. The new pump is slightly smaller than the stock spare part. So I was thinking of using an adapter to make it fit into factory swirl pot (black PLA part in photo). This part is inside fuel tank so is there filament that would stay in shape when submerged in gasoline/ethanol blend? PETG, Nylon, Polypropylene?

Fuel mixture can vary from 15/85 to 85/15 gasoline/ethanol. I don't think there will be much mechanical stress, pump may heat up but then fuel around should take the head away.

I have this exact same question.

I’m working on a motorcycle project where I need to create a fuel pump mount that will live submerged in gasoline for the life of the pump (hopefully 10+ years).

I expect ethanol content will be in the 10%-20% range. 

Is this asking too much of a 3D printed part? Installation and removal of the fuel pump and sender assembly is no small task and requires a number of single use fasteners and seals, so there’s real cost plus time involved. I would like to do this once.

I can make some test prints and soak them in fuel for some weeks to months while I work on other systems. Suggestions on what materials to start with would be welcome. I don’t currently have an enclosure but I will make one to print ABS or other materials that require one.

Thanks for any input.

Nylon will be the best for chemical resistance to ethanol and gasolines.

PC is OK for gasolines but not so much for ethanol, if the part has to be permanently submerged in the liquid.  PETg withstands ethanol very well, but gasolines will attack it, given enough time.  Same goes for Polypropylene.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I have a variety of test-fit parts made in PETG that I can start experimenting with. 

I will do some reading up on printing nylon as well.

I asked also elsewhere and got one reply that someone printer chainsaw fuel cap from PETG and it has lasted 1yr now. I probably prototype with PETG and maybe then buy nylon piece from print service.
