Filament that is strong and oil/water resistant?

Hello, I've just bought my printer (got it used, all seems to be in order and its in good shape - an Mk3S+) and i want to make some parts starting out. I could default to PLA but im not sure if that i both water and oil resistant so i wanted to check. If theres something better-suited I'll go with that to start off since i dont have any filament yet of any kind,

Additionally, besides prusaslicer is there anything else i need software wise for the pc end? Is there any way to connect the printer directly to my pc?

PLA is water and oil resistant at normal temperatures but many prefer to use PETG.

Strictly speaking, no, but you would be wise to install some 3D CAD software or you will be stuck downloading other's designs.

Is there any way to connect the printer directly to my pc?

Yes.  Several ways.  Don't do it.  Many of the problems we see here would not arise if the printers were kept stand-alone.

I've had some PLA pieces of a project sitting in a toilet tank (outside the water but they do get splashed) for over three years and they have held up very well. I was a bit concerned at first because PLA is a bioplastic.

Thanks gents, exactly what I was hoping to hear. I've got some filament on the way and then I'll be able to get this up and going
