Filament Jammed in Mini

I recently purchased some metallic silk 1.75mm filament from Mika3D. The print wasn't going well so I aborted it and turned off the printer forgetting to unload the filament.

Realizing this, I turned it back on and tried to unload but the filament wouldn't come out. So instead I cut off the filament from its reel and attempted various combinations of purging and unloading to get it out. The filament went in a couple more cm but ultimately stopped moving/extruding/unloading completely.

I can also see in the filament tube that the filament has broken (see attached pictures). Looking at the filament and comparing it side by side with my black Prusament, it seems thicker even though it says its 1.75mm (might be a trick of the light?)

How do I clear the filament from the Mini and try again?

I heat the printer and remove the PTFE tubing from the hotend.  Clip of the bulb and hit unload.

I this does not work, I try to disassemble the printer to remove it.
