Festo connection options (drybox to printer)

hello all

i need to make a dry box for some nylon and wondered what festo connectors I should get. My idea is to have a plastic box with the spool(s) a fixed festo into a hole in the box with a PTFE tube to another festo just above the printer(mk3) which ideally I can screw fix the filament in place when not using.

I don’t know much about the festo types, sizes and how they connect to the tube and PFTE tube for that matter. So any ideas would be appreciated.

have you considered an interference fit for the tube and do away with festo connectors altogether?.

I use a reverse bowden setup using capricorn XS tubing and simply printed both ends the correct diameter for a good snug push fit which works perfectly, no need for any air line fittings.

Normal people believe that if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Engineers believe that if it ain’t broke, it doesn’t have enough features yet.

Yes that could work. I assume there are a few designs in thingiverse that I could use.  What do you mean by a reverse Bowden set up. And what size tube do you use?
