"Failure to communicate" with Fedex
So, Core One send by Prusa on the 21st. Fedex wants to deliver on the 23rd (Europe) but we wouldn't be home due to family matters so I tried to reschedule using the app. Between 21st and today that part of the website/app throws an error so I tried calling customer service. After some perseverance I got through to a live person ( but dead inside ) who said she would delay delivery a week. A few minutes later a confusing mail stating delivery would take place on the 23rd so called again, got through to a customer support rep in the end who told me the package would be held for a week and then returned to Prusa. That wasn't communicated before but I can pick it up in the mean time so I can live with that.
This morning some automated messages stating the package will be delivered tomorrow ( we won't be home )
So, now I'm about to drive an hour to attempt to collect it, if the warehouse personnel is as committed as the app-builders or the customer service people are my chances are low.
I won't use Fedex ever again in my life.

Got it, warehouse people were ok.

Ah yes. Good old FedEx. They are the worst logistics company in the world to deal with and I refuse to use them unless the sender forces you to use them because of events like Prusa's Black Friday and cyber Monday deals etc. Every time Prusa sends me products via FedEx they are always late and they NEVER actually deliver any freight to my address. I always get a notification by FedEx to collect my freight from my nearest international airport. I'm not kidding, they are totally useless. Just to clarify I live in a major capital city and my address is within 10 kilometres of the CBD of my capital city lol.
We have a saying around here regarding FedEx and it goes something like this F.E.D.E.X."Failed Every Delivery, Every eXpectation"
RE: "Failure to communicate" with Fedex
A recent 3D printing project of mine was an address sign, made as legible as possible and located directly in view of a truck entering the driveway. It was inspired by a FedEx driver that pulled out the two bulky packages I was expecting, and carried them across the lawn to leave them on the neighbor's porch, ignoring the addresses on both houses and both mailboxes. It's probably a vain hope that the driver will notice yet another sign and maybe think to check that the address is correct, but it's all I can do.

Congratulations, at least they seem to be delivering somewhere in the vicinity of your address lol. FedEx deserves at least 3 gold stars for effort haha.
